Problem

It is known, that for some value the equality: is true. Is it possible, that number is integer?
Solution
If we add these two equalities, we have equality , if we subtract, . Then we have, that . As we are interested only in integer , each of expressions and has to be integer. As these two numbers are of the same parity and is a square of an integer, equalities and must be true. But it is impossible for both to be true at the same time. Thus, there is no such value .
